Join us at Rotota!

Rotota Sun Club is not a resort – it’s a member-owned and operated club. Joining our membership comes with great perks and benefits, most important of which is becoming part of the community of naturists who enjoy and care for our small slice of paradise.

What you get with your Rotota Sun Club membership:

  • Membership in the New Zealand Naturist Federation
  • Use of club facilities on a casual basis at reduced member rates
  • Participation in club events and activities
  • An account on the Rotota website
  • Subscription to the club’s email newsletter
  • Opportunity to purchase a gate key
  • Ability to attend, speak, and vote at general meetings to have your say in how our club is run and managed
  • Opportunity to be allocated your own site (in accordance with bylaws)

How to apply for Rotota membership

For the safety and security of our club, there is a membership process for anyone interested in joining Rotota Sun Club.

Each applicant needs to complete application form, which can be picked up from the acting caretaker onsite at Rotota. You will need:

  • A copy of your drivers license or passport (the caretaker can scan your documents at Rotota if you have them with you)
  • An application fee of $10 which can be paid by cash or internet banking
  • Names and signatures of a nominator and seconder that are current financial members of Rotota Sun Club
    • These members should know you well enough to vouch for your character. This is how we ensure that Rotota Sun Club remains safe and comfortable for all members and future members.
    • We encourage you to socialise during your visits to Rotota and get to know our current members, and let them get to know you!

Once complete, the application form will be handed over to the Rotota Membership Coordinator, who will be in touch with you about next steps.

As part of the application process, you will be interviewed by committee members during a committee meeting weekend. 

If your application is accepted, you become a provisional member. You must pay the membership fee within 30 days of receiving provisional membership.

  • The provisional membership fee is 50% of the standard annual membership fee and applies until the date of the next Rotota AGM.

As a provisional member, you can enjoy all the benefits of membership EXCEPT the following, which are reserved for full members only:

  • Purchase of a gate key
  • Speaking and voting rights at Rotota general meetings 
  • Eligibility for site allocation

You will be required to make at least 3 further visits over committee meeting weekends to meet and socialize with other members before full membership is granted.
